Austin Daniel is a 33-year-old novelist and screenwriter based in Northern California. His works vary in genre and style, but commonly feature action-thriller elements set in dystopian near-future realities. He is currently seeking professional representation.
Daniel’s first novel, The Blood Games, follows Ryan Eastwood, a retired athlete from the titular team deathmatch event that has become the most popular sport in America. Ryan is drawn back into the world of the Blood Games to mentor a new generation of fighters, while battling the demons of his past and reckoning with the loss of his teammate (and brother) in combat.
Other works in progress include Bay Scrapers, a sci-fi thriller based in Silicon Valley around an experimental new biochip technology; and Murderer’s Row, a crime drama following the showrunner of a popular courtroom reality TV program navigating the broadcast of a sensationalized murder trial.
The Blood Games is now completed and in the process of being queried. Bay Scrapers and Murderer’s Row are currently being written, with an expected completion date of 2027.
