Today I performed some upkeep on the website to make it simpler to navigate and find information quickly. I also added the two writing samples from The Blood Games for public viewing: the entirety of Chapter 1 and Chapter 4.

I am currently doing a final editing pass of the manuscript to ensure it is in the best shape possible to find representation. Once that is complete, I will begin the query process in search of a literary agent to assist me in the publishing process.

I imagine this will be a time-consuming process with little forward momentum for the next few months. If I don’t receive any encouraging feedback by the summer, I might begin to explore alternative publication methods, such as self-publishing on the Amazon Kindle store.

I will provide updates whenever I have news to share, so check back to this blog regularly or follow my X/Twitter account below! If nothing else, this will serve as an archive of my efforts to go from a nobody to a published author. Hopefully things go well and you’ll get to see the process play out from beginning to end!

I also have a few other housekeeping items to attend to, such as replacing the current placeholder logo and sprucing up the website with more visual flair. I have a talented photographer friend that may be able to provide free photos for my site, to add flavor to my posts and also promote her work for her own brand.

This is a scary but an exciting journey to embark on, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!
